D & M {Sonoma County Children's Photographer}

For my last shoot before Christmas I was lucky enough to meet the B Family and their gorgeous kids (model-ish gorgeous!)...we had to reschedule a couple of times because of rain but I'm so glad we did because this day was perfect!! Little D-man loved the idea of railroad tracks so that is what we did! Thanks you guys!!! Oh, and yes I'm posting a zillion of their pictures because I LOVED how they turned out!

So the cute mom of this family has been wanting to book a shoot with me for a year, and we finally did it! And it was soo worth the wait! We had a great time, and I loved what we came up with!

My Little Man

A quick post of a picture I snapped of my little helper as I was doing some casual headshots for a friend the other day. He totally wanted to pose for me on the bridge--as soon as he saw the camera he crouched down like this and smiled..LOVE HIM!!

Cousins! {Petaluma Children's Photographer}

Okay so my last post I said was freezing...well this one was REALLY really cold...my hands could barely adjust anything on the camera by the end! Thank goodness for Applebox and its wonderful hot chocolate to warm up my little clients after they played outside with me for as long as they could handle! The older kids (S&J) are siblings, and the younger set (F&L) are their twin cousins. My good friend Nikki was pregnant with J at the same time I was pregnant with my 7 year old so it was a blast hanging out with her too while getting to photograph her super sweet and adorable kids. If only it had been a few degrees warmer...

{S} Family...Part 2

My second shoot (see first shoot here) with this adorable family was so much fun! We tortured their poor little 6 month old in the freezing freezing cold (well as cold as Santa Rosa gets anyway--what 50 degrees?) and in this little pink tutu that she just wanted to suck on the whole time! But she was able to sit already and was in a fabulous mood so along with her gorgeous parents we got some fun pictures. We have her one year shoot already booked for May and I can't wait to play with her again at that point...she is adorable!!

{W} Family

All right. A minute to blog..finally!! I have been so back logged with editing (as most photographers are right now) that I finally get to blog a few of the families that I have been privileged to take pictures of this fall. Most of them have been new clients and I have LOVED getting to know all of these amazing people! This first family was a winner of a gift certificate I donated to my kids' school, and in between all the random rainy days we had a few weeks back, we got them in! It was damp still but it worked out! The kids were fantastic and they were really fun to be around! So enough talk..time to post some pics!

One of my very first clients -as well as a good friend- had me take her kids pictures again this fall--thank you Laura!! It was a crazy day..I couldn't find a sitter for the LIFE of me, so Laura watched my kids while I took pictures of her kids (while my kids played wii in the car). And it was a good thing cause we had already rescheduled twice due to rain...anyway we got the session done and her kids were so stylish and fun, we had a great time! (At least I did...not so sure about the kids...)

The {C} Family! {Santa Rosa Portrait Photographer}

So last week I had the pleasure of meeting the {C} family-- prior to the session Mama C and I chatted about what we were hoping for out of the session and after a little while of getting the girls warmed up..I think we captured it!! LOVED this family's style and had a great time working with them!

Urban-esque!

So this session was SO fun! These cuties' and my kids were in a playgroup together..oh...6 years ago or thereabouts. The kids are now in different schools but us moms are still super tight...I LOVE these ladies!!! Anyway we did a shoot a few months ago but I really wanted to do another more urban look for my super hip friend! I love how they turned out!

Two of My Very Own! {Northern California Portrait Photographer}

This week I finally got two of my four kids to cooperate with me so I could take pictures of their cuteness! Only because they're not old enough to have a strong opinion about it! :) So...the purpose was really to check out a new fun location...and I had a few technical problems..good thing I figured that out on my own kids! BUT I'll probably go back to re-do a few. Here are some of my favorites. Aren't they the cutest kids ever??? I know, I know. I'm totally biased.

The other day was my baby's 3rd birthday. This is the first time I haven't had another baby in tow, and it feels sort of weird, honestly!! But I am enjoying him like crazy and took some fun pictures of him that I will post more of later!! Here is one for now...

Just a few shots of these gorgeous kids that I photographed a couple weeks ago...they were super cooperative and soo much fun! The parents had the most fun sense of humor and I could've taken their pictures all day cause I was laughing my head off the whole time. They are a family that I already love and feel like I've know forever!

Two Little Cuties {Sonoma County Children's Photographer}

So last week I got to take pictures of one of my kids' school teacher's kids...uh does that make sense?...Anyway this great teacher is also becoming a great friend, this is the THIRD session we've done of her kids and she's already booked two more! We had a fun time chatting and taking pictures around a pumpkin patch and the cows and ducks were a great distraction for the kids too! (In a good way!) Here are a few of my faves:

Nitny!! {Petaluma Portrait Photographer}

Meet Nitny of Nitny S. Photography.!! This gorgeous lady found my blog last year, recognized me from 24 Hour Fitness from YEARS ago (when Jaxon was still scooting across the floor on his bottom!!), and we've reconnected and hung out a few times over the past year. Its been soo fun! Especially because she's also a photographer and we can bounce ideas off each other like crazy. I think she is SUPER photogenic and looks amazing for being pregnant with her FOURTH child!! (Gets to join the club!)

Little B and her Fam {Sonoma County Child Photographer}

Last week I met this nice couple and their adorable little one year old. She didn't give us a ton of smiles but she was still so darn cute!!! I thought Mom did a great job of putting their outfits together too--the colors worked out really well. Oh, and the rocking chair in the pics belonged to Little B's dad when he was a kid and the white dress she's wearing belonged to her Grandma! Soo cool! So here they are...

Updates

If are you reading this--thank you for checking in!! I've been soo busy taking pictures lately while trying to figure out how to balance four kids, a hubby that works now (whew, relief!) and a business plan! Oh wait, and laundry, and actually cooking and exercising....it has been quite complicated and stressful BUT I actually am figuring out that balance thanks to some amazing mentors, a supportive husband and lots of prayer. I love that I have this fun new hobby/business and I want to keep it up! 

On the business side, I have created a fun new product catalog that I will give to my clients to peruse after their session while I work on editing. The products are soo great and I need to hurry up and get some of my own kids up in my house to actually SHOW you how great they are. Its amazing the difference when you can see your amazing children, or family up in GREAT quality products on your walls. 

Also I am going to book sessions until the first weekend in December then I am done until January 2011.

So I met this super cute family last week with the cutest little baby girl and was super excited to take her picture using some fun new backdrops and headbands--I love those things! She hung in there as long as she could before we wore her right out! It was great meeting this new family and look forward to seeing them again in a few months for her 6 month pictures!!

So I did this family last week as part of my mini-shoot offer, and they were amazing!!! Super cooperative and adorable kids, easy going parents...it was so fun! The littlest man won my heart though I have to say!!

So I was sooo flattered when my super talented friend Nitny asked me to take pictures of herself and her adorable one year old! It was an adventurous session with bees, tears, and some stoic expressions out of baby A but it was fun to work together and we ended up with some GREAT shots!
